COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Business Communication Skills has always had and will continue to have a strong community orientation.

For the past 17 years Business Communication Skills has partnered with Sparrow Schools Educational Trust, which is an educational institution providing affordable, quality education to mentally challenged children from the ages of 6 – 20 years old.

Business Communication Skills has assisted the project in evolving from one class room in Eloff Street ext to, two full school campuses in Melville, accommodating 700 children.

Our contribution to The Sparrows Educational Trust is as follows:

  • The Managing Director of Business Communication Skills, Beth-Ann Galvin an active
trustee and Chairman of this project and offers strategic input at regular Trustees meetings
  • Our company has assisted Sparrows to achieve measurable results by empowering a
number of their staff members through the development of fundamental communication skills
  • We sponsor the education of one of their students every year. We have on numerous
occasions donated a variety of office equipment and other material to this project
  • Through our network, we have introduced the Sparrows Fund Raising Committee to
suitable business executives, who are in the position to contribute to their fundraising
    initiatives.

Beth-Ann Galvin adopted a 4 year old, (previously) disadvantaged now 19-year old son.
